Persicaria Purple Fantasy

Spreading perennial. Currently sold as 1 litre potted plants

Very attractive velvety foliage. The most intense pink and purple colouration in spring matures to green and purple in summer. Height up to 30cm can be cut down if suffering from drought or just to freshen it up and it quickly regrows. 

New growth in spring is soft and it's best to protect with polythene when ground frost is forecast. This doesn't kill established plants but kills top growth and possibly new plants. Other than that a hardy plant eithe plant in ground or pot. Spreads quite fast and thickly.
