Tall purple stemmed exotic grass, overwinter +4c

 A stunning purple ribbed grass producing strong upright dark stems which when mature have a chalky bloom.   6-9 feet perhaps much more.  Once considered very tender it can be overwintered under cover at about 4c. Store in low humidity or airy but roots moist through winter. Most easily overwintered cut down to about 30cm tall.

In the growing season a warm spot in the garden and plenty of watering required.

Rapid growing needs free draining soil and lots of water when established. 

Currently available for a short period in small pots.
