Leptinella Platt's Black

Creeping ground cover with dark, fern like, foliage. Suitable for planting in gravel and between paving.

Here I grow this in gravel on the edges of  wide gravel paths etc. Probably not good in high traffic areas but can certainly be tread upon occasionally. Very fern like. Ground hugging, dense spreading, hardy perennial. Height 2-4 cm. Spread indefinite. Produces an insignificent flower. Almost completely evergreen. Suffers in drought so when watering in the garden it gets a splash of water. Lovely and much admired. Sold in a 1/4 litre, 7cm square pot.
