Hemerocallis Primal Scream

Large vivid orange flower, available as bare root plants in spring.

Day lily with a large lily size flower up to 18cm diameter. Hemerocallis seem to need moisture in spring to develop the flower buds so here they struggle to perform but this is my favourite and I grow it in the more moist parts of the garden as watering in the spring is not normally done, although in recent years watering has been beneficial to many plants as we are in a very dry area. Mid to late season flowering, late June to early August. Can grow as much as 90cm tall, forms strong clumps. RHS AGM. Sold as a bare root growing plant
