Whorls of rich orange flowers in September and October. Frost tender shrub.
An exotic shrub needing frost protection ie + 1c. Best kept fairly dry in winter. Fast growing to a useful ultimate size. Ideal for a large pot. Whorls of rich orange flowers August to October possibly November from which I assume the common name of Lion's tail comes from although I don't see it myself. Easily trimmed. Can be pruned before putting to bed for the winter. Height and spread around 1.2 metres, but easily managed. Full sun.
