Whorls of rich orange flowers in September and October. Frost tender shrub.
An exotic shrub needing frost protection ie + 1c. Best kept fairly dry in winter. Fast growing to a useful ultimate size. Ideal for a large pot. Whorls of rich orange flowers August to October possibly November from which I assume the common name of Lion's tail comes from. Easily trimmed. Can be pruned before putting to bed for the winter. Height and spread around 1.2 metres, but easily managed. Full sun. Plants are cut down for dispatch.
